Dr. Robert (Bart) Massucco Jr., a native of coastal Maine, opened the doors of Countryside Veterinary Clinic and Countryside Kennels in 1994. He has a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. He completed his undergraduate thesis in molecular biology concentrating on a cloning project involving biological clocks. Dr. Massucco received his degree in veterinary medicine from Tufts University in 1991. After starting his veterinary career in May, 1991 working at Natick Animal Hospital, Dr. Massucco decided to start his own practice in 1994.
Dr. Massucco now treats common domestic species: cats, dogs, and horses as well as a wide variety of exotic pets including rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and guinea pigs. He is always researching the latest techniques and takes a variety of continuing education courses annually
to make sure your pet has the most current care available. Dr. Massucco Passion for animals: Dr. Massucco fell in love with horses at just two years of age, jumping on the back of a pony at his pre-school in Maine. He has spent most of his life riding, training, competing and breeding sport horses. He also enjoys spending his free time with his wife Marissa and three children. The Massucco family lives locally and has a horse farm that includes two adopted Vizslas a German Short-haired Pointer and five cats.

Kaitlin Fitch, DVM began as an Associate Veterinarian in 2004. She attended the University of Massachusetts and received a BS in Biology. Dr. Fitch went on toTufts University and received her degree in veterinary medicine in 2004. She has been an asset to the doctor team. She works here at CVC on a part-time basis.
Outside of work Dr. Fitch and her husband are busy raising three young children. The Fitch Family also includes a dog and two cats.

Kelly Carignan, DVM joined our team in 2008. Dr. Carignan graduated from Quinnipiac University in
Connecticut ,with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in 2003. She was accepted at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies and received her degree in veterinary medicine in 2008. Dr. Carignan lives locally and enjoys swimming, hiking with her dogs and Red Sox games at Fenway Park.

Dr. Meredith Olson, DVM joined the practice in June 2010. She works here at CVC on a part-time basis. Dr. Olson went to UMASS Amherst for her undergraduate degree and graduated from Iowa State (in 2008) with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Olson is married and is enjoying life here in Massachusetts.

Marissa Chappell Massucco started at CVC in 2003 as a
Veterinary Technician. She now assists Dr. Massucco in managing the veterinary clinic and kennel on a part-time basis. She
has an Associate's Degree in Science and in her spare time
enjoys spending time with her husband three children, the
family's numerous pets, riding her Appaloosa - Felix, pet-sitting, and yoga.

Mikaela Cerio began her career at Countryside in 2007. She is now the Head Surgery Technician. Her skill set includes blood draws, catheter placement and anesthesia calculations. She is currently enrolled and excelling in the veterinary technician program at Penn Foster College. Mikaela enjoys spending time with her dog, Jack and her friends and family.

Lindsey has been with CVC since 2010. She has an extensive background in animal care. Lindsey is training to become a surgery technician.

Fallon Moreshead (not pictured) has been a full-time Veterinary Assistant here at CVC since August of 2010. She now assists in surgery. She has always loved animals and plans to take veterinary technician classes. Fallon's hobbies include spending time with her friends, family, her dogs and hiking. She has two Golden Retrievers Murphy and Gracie.
